The entlebuch mountain dog is an excellent watchdog. This quality gives it a flaw. Indeed, it is a dog that is by nature suspicious of strangers. Don't expect him to behave like a Labrador. An entlebuch does not like strangers, he sees no point in them. This is not the type of dog to be petted by everyone, he even shuns this kind of behavior which for him comes out more of the ordeal than of pleasure.

To overcome this, you will need to socialize your puppy as much as possible. It is therefore necessary to take him as much as possible with you during his socialization period so that he becomes familiar with different places, people, animals ... It is not because your dog is sociable that he will not keep plus the house. His intelligence will allow him to differentiate between situations and to know whether or not to keep the house.

• What about brushing at entlebuch

Entlebuchs naturally have a shiny, silky coat. An entlebuch does not smell bad when wet. It is not a legend, you will forget the smell of wet dog with it! On the other hand, there is still a dog with hair, and even if the latter are short, you will not "cut" during the moult. A little brushing from time to time will do it the greatest good (a little comb will do). You do not need to shampoo it, the coat quickly becomes very clean again when your boubou gets dirty.

• Family life

If you have children, you will make her happy. Entlebuch get along very well with them but also with animals that are already in the family (dog, cat ...). You already have an entlebuch, and you want to adopt a second: it's even better! Entlebuchs living together develop an extraordinary bond!
